HOW TO KNOW WHEN TO END A RELATIONSHIP

Having a relationship with someone is something that all human beings need and desires. It is a very nice feeling to have someone you can turn to at anytime, however this too has a downside. At one point, a rocky road maybe experienced and you are caught in a dilemma on whether to keep on fighting or surrender. Here are useful tips in assessing if its is about time to stop fighting and take a breather.

  1. Abusive Relationship

Be keen with observing if abuse is present in your relationship. When I say abuse, it doesn’t only refer to physical abuse but rather every type of abuse. May it be emotional, verbal, financial or sexual. Any type of abuse to you and or to your family must be dealt and manage properly. Hence, this is a strong factor to know that you really have to leave the relationship before everything gets worst and uncontrolled.

  1. Sexual Attraction

One of the determinant for one to end a relationship is that if there is no sexual attraction between the two parties involved. At one point in every relationship, a dry spell would happen, and that’s normal for a short period of time. However, if there’s no sexual contact happening or one is not enjoying the act of intimacy with a partner then it is but proper to end the relationship.

  1. Respect

One of the basic virtue that each person should practice is respect. Respect among each other must be maintained even at the peak of outburst. Each person is entitled to be respected and thus if this is absent in a relationship then I guess that person doesn’t value you as a human being. Respect comes hand in hand with love so if there’s no respect between the two of you, then love must have been absent too.

  1. Parallel Goals and Dreams

You and your partner must share the same goals and aspirations. You should have the same direction in your lives because a relationship is like a partnership, one’s ideas must coincide with the other’s ideas to travel through life on the same path. For example in instances where you are planning of having a baby, if one doesn’t want to have a child, then its hard for the two of you to stay together. One partner’s’ want must be considered to have a fair and stable relationship.

  1. Enjoying your partner’s company

Being with your partner should not be a hard thing to do but rather and enjoyable and exciting moment. If you find yourselves getting bored and not happy whenever you are with your partner then I guess its time to reassess your relationship. Being with your partner must be something that you always look forward and the time when you are with him or her seems always too short. If you don’t feel this way then there’s something wrong.

  1. Cheating

When you found out that your partner is cheating on you then better pack your bags and leave. You deserve someone whose eyes and heart is centered on you and you alone. Cheating means he/she is not true to you and your relationship so why bother staying in relationship where lies and pretense is practiced.

  1. Absence of trust

Trust is one of the most important factor that keeps a relationship strong and secure. Once trust has been broken, its difficult to build and gain it back again. As they say, trust is like a glass, once it’s shattered you can never glue back and repair the pieces the way it looks before. Once trust is broken, don’t expect that the same amount of trust is given to you. So if this is missing in your relationship, its time to think hard. Its because jealousy and suspicions stems from the loss of a trusting relationship.
