How to Make Nacho Cheese Dip
I am an avid fun of nachos. I love eating it especially if it comes with a great dip. There are a number of sauce or dip available in the market, may it be guacamole, tomato salsa or cheese. One of my favorite is the cheese dip so, I decided to make it myself rather than buy it. I found this great recipe and tried to cook. I just did a little variation to make it even tastier.
Ingredients:
· 30 ml Butter
· 30 ml flour
· 250 ml milk
· A pinch of salt, around 1 ml
· 250 ml cheese
Materials:
· Sauce pan
· Metal whisk
· Cheese grater
· Small bowl (for serving)
Steps in preparing the Nachos Cheese Dip:
1. Gather all the needed materials and ingredients. Make sure that your sauce pan is non stick because the cheese might stick into your pan.
2. Acquire you cheese grater and cheese. It is better to grate a cold cheese because when the cheese is warmed, it tends to soften easily which makes it difficult to grate. Grate the cheese well so that it will be easily be melted later in the sauce pan.
3. Turn on your stove and place you sauce pan. Once it is heated, adjust your stove into low heat.
4. Get your butter and pour over the sauce pan to melt. Butter tends to burn easily so make sure that other ingredients are prepared already so that it can be added immediately before the butter burns.
5. When your butter has completely melted, add the flour and stir it using your wire whisk. Do this until the butter and flour are well combined.
6. Get the milk and slowly pour it unto the mixture. While pouring continue stirring until the you achieved a thick consistency.
7. Obtain the cheese and salt and pour them to the sauce pan. Still, stir continuously. Wait for the cheese to melt.
8. Whisk gently the preparation to mix them all together and wait until the mixture thickens.
9. Once the desired consistency has been achieved, turn the burner off and remove the sauce pan.
10. Pour the cheese dip to a small serving bowl or you can directly pour it to the nachos. Be careful because it us very hot. Nacho cheese dip is better served when hot.
Tips:
· Choose a good tasting cheese because this is the primary ingredients in your dip. This is the one responsible for the over all taste.
· To make variations with your dip, you may add additional seasonings like chili sauce, paprika or any spices that you want to try.
· If you want to make more, just adjust the measurements of the ingredients.
· Choose a heavy bottom pan because thin pans might easily burn your cheese.
· The cheese dip can be stored until two days after cooking. Place it in a jar and seal it properly. Place it in the refrigerator. Don’t freeze it because the taste may be different after reheating it.
· Reheat the cheese dip in a microwave for about 60 seconds. You may also reheat it in the stove using your sauce pan. If it is too thick, pour a little milk and stir.
