The steps below will guide you on a proper technique in removing deodorant stain.
Materials needed:
Water
Ammonia
Vinegar
Rag
Laundry detergent
Pre wash stain remover
- Do a quick inspection on your clothing especially the underarm area. Try to see if the deodorant has affected the clothing true color and if it is a new stain. If so, get a clean rag and dip it into the ammonia. Dab it then to the stain. Wait for around five to ten minutes to allow the ammonia to penetrate unto the fabric.
- However, if you see that the stain is already old, get a clean rag and dip it into a vinegar. Again leave it for around five to ten minutes to let the vinegar penetrate unto the fabric with stain.
- Obtain your pre wash stain remover and treat the stain. If a pre wash stain remover is not available, mix 15 ml of laundry detergent and 240 ml water. Dip again a clean rag unto the mixture and dab it unto the stain. Let is set for 10 minutes.
- Wash then the clothing in water. The use of hottest water is preferred. Just see to it that the temperature of the water is based on the instructed temperature of each type of shirt. Use the typical laundry detergent you’ve been using. Rub the stain and wash thoroughly the clothing. You may also place it in a washing machine to fully wash the fabric.
