stop an extremely runny nose effectively without medication

One of the very common problems encountered by many when it comes to sickness are nasal congestion, runny nose and stuffy nose. These problems may hit us anytime of the day and anywhere we go without us being given a warning. The worst part of having these symptoms is the experience it gives us. All through out the day, we find ourselves constantly blowing our nose, feeling always tired and thinking we will end up with a bad flu. While various medicine are available in every drug store, it is not always that we carry such things in our bags or store some in our offices. We end up having a bad day before we can acquire a nasal decongestant or anti histamine.

Its about time then that we should stop relying on medications to relieve this icky and burdensome feeling.  One of the many ways that is very effective in relieving runny nose without using and taking in any medication is through Chinese acupressure. What is Chinese Acupressure then?  This term is commonly heard by many but doesn’t really understand what it is and does not know how to properly execute it.

Chineses Acupressure is a therapy that involves recognizing the blocked energy centers of your body and using massage technique to release and alleviate such energies. The massage is done using your fingers and thumb. This is widely known and practiced because it can cure different physical and mental conditions. And one of the conditions which acupressure can heal is nasal congestion, stuffy or runny nose.  Just follow the techniques discussed below.

There are 4 routines which you can do to address this condition. As you perform each routine, make sure to do it in synchronize manner to both pressure points of each body area. Also, repeat these routines three times.

First routine: Locate the cavity at the corner of your nostrils. It is located just below your nose and at the corner tip of each of your nostrils. Perform ten pressures at these points. Do it by massaging it in a circular motion. You must be able to close and open the nostril area as you perform this routine.

Second routine: Locate the cavity at the inner corner of each of your eyes. It is located near the inner canthus of your eyes beside the bridge of your nose. Perform ten pressures at these points. Do it by massaging it in a circular motion.

Third routine: Locate the cavity below your ear. It is located behind each of your earlobes. Again, perform ten pressures.  Do it by massaging it in circular motion.

Fourth routine: Locate your both earlobes. It is located in the lower tip of each ear. Perform ten pressures. Do it by massaging it in circular motion.

Special considerations:

  • After doing the above routines three times, you will already experience an instant relief of your nasal congestion. It is strongly encouraged to perform again these three routines after ten minutes to make sure that your nasal congestion will not recur.
  • The massaging technique must be performed in round and circular motions. If the wrong technique is done, no relief can be achieved.

Using Chinese Acupressure to relieve nasal congestion, stuffy and runny nose is very easy and a convenient way. You can perform this any time of the day and anywhere you want. You don’t have to undergo the nose blowing and sniffing cycle, all you need to do is massage and relax.
